Prize draw terms & conditions

1. Eligibility

The prize promotion is available to the UK, excluding Northern Ireland due to the nature of the prize, (England, Scotland, and Wales), residents who are 18 years or over at the time of entry, excluding We Buy Any Car Ltd employees and their immediate families or any of their group companies, their families, agents, or anyone else connected with the promotion. If the entry is of someone under 18, the video needs to be uploaded from an adults account over the age of 18 and the prize will need to be collected from their guardian.

We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and to check their identity.

How to enter our JSMC 3-steps Dance Challenge on TikTok

By visiting webuyanycar’s TikTok page (@webuyanycaruk), duet Mufasa’s 3-step challenge video, film yourself either on your own or with others, tag @webuyanycaruk and use the #wbac3stepchallenge hashtag in your caption.

No entries from agents, third parties, organised group or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No bulk entries.

A shortlist of 30 entries which best meet the criteria will be chosen (shortlist of 5 entries for each prize, 6 prizes in total). The shortlisted entries will be judged by a panel of 5 people, including one independent person from outside the organization. There will be 5 winners of the mini prizes (3 x £100 Halfords vouchers or 2x Shark handheld vacuum), and 1 main prize winner (1x car up to £20,000 inclusive of all taxes)

There will be 6 winners in total. The winners will be, who in the opinion of the judging panel, best meet the criteria, as specified in point 3 below. To enter you must:

Duet Mufasa’s Just Sold My Car 3 step dance video on TikTok
Include the correct tags and hashtags in the caption (@webuyanycaruk, #wbac3stepchallenge).
Meet the following criteria as best you can based on the 3 simple steps dance - Choreography (30%), enthusiasm (25%), entertainment (25%) and clarity (20%).

The competition closes Wednesday 5th of April 2023. There will be 5x weekly giveaways every Friday (starting on the 3rd of March 2023) for the mini prizes (the Halfords vouchers and Shark handheld vacuums). The winner of the main prize (the car) will be announced at the end of the competition on Friday 7th of April 2023.

How to enter the online quote giveaway

By visiting webuyanycar’s Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, click the attached link on post or via the Linktree in our Instagram bio (ensure this is done directly from the specific link not via a search engine as It will not be counted), then comment ‘done’ and tag a friend in the comments. We will then choose a winner at random using a generator who will be contacted on 13/02/23. We will ask you to provide the email address and car registration you used on our website to get an online quote so we can confirm you completed the required steps to be entered into the competition. If you did not get an online quote using the link provided, comment ‘done’ and tag a friend you will not be eligible for the prize.

2. Terms and Conditions

By entering, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must not enter the competition.

We may amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice by amending this page. We may also apply different terms and conditions to a specific competition. If additional terms and conditions are created, they will be published on this page.

By giving you the opportunity to feature your content on our social media channels, you agree:

We can use your handle and the content on webuyanycar, webuyanyvan, and/or on any of webuyanycar’s social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter).
We can edit, crop, adapt, enhance, or modify the Content (but webuyanycar will not treat you in a derogatory manner).

You promise that you:

Have the permission of everyone in the content;
Have the right to grant webuyanycar the above rights;
You are 18 or over or have entered via an adult’s account;
If you are under 18 a guardian can accept the prize on your behalf.

3. The Prizes

WBAC JSMC 3 Simple Steps

3 x £100 Halfords voucher (mini prize)
2 x Shark Cordless Handheld Vacuum (mini prize)
1 x A car up to the value of £20,000 inclusive of all taxes (main prize)

In the event of unforeseen circumstances which affect the operation of the Prize Draw in any way, we reserve the right to substitute the prizes with alternative prizes of equal or greater value, or to cancel, suspend or amend the Prize Draw, but will always endeavour to minimise the impact on entrants in order to avoid undue disappointment. This is applicable to all prize draws.

4. Winners

Each Draw is free to enter..

Any entry received after the End Date (05/04/2023) or submitted by any other means will not be included in the competition nor will it be carried forward to the next competition.

We Buy Any Car Ltd is not responsible for incorrect contact details or for problems with entries or claims caused by any factors outside of their control.

In the event any claim for a prize is not received by the promoter within 28 days of such notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original.

We Buy Any Car Ltd will endeavour to send prizes within a month of the competition end date but cannot guarantee this delivery time. Arrangements for the delivery of the prize will be made with the winner by direct message on the social media platform on which the won.

The winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries under independent supervision and notified by comments and direct messages on the social media platform on which they were randomly selected. The decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

There are no cash or no other prize alternatives available in whole or in part except in the event of circumstances outside of the promoter’s control, in which case the promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar alternative of equal or greater value. The winners agree to participate in related publicity. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities.

Losing entries will not receive any notification.

5. Information

We will use and process entrants' data in accordance with our Privacy Policy for the purposes of administering this promotion.

In addition, by entering this competition, you agree that if you are a winner, your name and any photographs that we take of you may be used by us in publicity related to the competition, including interviews and press releases, and announcements on our Facebook and Twitter pages. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities.

6. Disqualification

We reserve the right, acting in our sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant and withdraw/withhold any prize from a winner who:

Is found to have abused or tampered with the operation of the competition.
has acted in any manner deemed by us to be in violation of these terms and conditions.
Is found to be ineligible or fails to provide promptly any requested evidence of eligibility.
Fails to respond to a Winner's Notification within the time limit stipulated above.

7. Our Liability

We accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this competition.

We also accept no liability for lost, delayed or undelivered entries, or for any technical errors or communication failures in networks and/or internet access. Proof of submitting an entry is not proof of receipt of any entry by the Promoter.

We cannot be held responsible if a winner does not receive their prize as a result of having provided incorrect or incomplete address details.

Nothing in these terms and conditions limits our liability arising out of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. General

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

These terms and conditions, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with these terms and conditions and your entry into the competition (including any claims or disputes).
